I'm a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & IT at KL University, Vijayawada. I hold a Ph.D. from Kanchipuram University (2019) and an M.Tech from KLCE & ANU (2010). Over my career I have served as HoD & Chairperson and as Deputy HoD for Placements, during which I achieved 100% placements for 6 consecutive years, facilitating offers from Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Barclays, JPMorgan, and AT&T.

My research spans network security, intrusion detection systems, AI & ML, and IoT. I have 75 publications across SCI/IEEE, Scopus, and Google Scholar, including 15 in SCI/IEEE, with a Scopus h-index of 6 and 116 citations. I hold 3 patents, have authored 3 book chapters, and have guided 4 PhD awardees and 35 B.Tech/M.Tech projects.

I teach Computer Networks, AI, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, DBMS, and Computer Architecture. I have been recognised with the Best Teacher Award 5 times, and most recently received the "Icon of Academic Innovation Award" (2024) by AIMER Society and the "Best Computer Science Faculty" (2012) by the Govt. of Puducherry.

Research Focus

My research sits at the intersection of network security, intrusion detection, AI & ML, and IoT. I focus on building safer, smarter systems, from protocol-level security in wireless sensor networks to AI-driven anomaly detection for smart cities, healthcare, and industry.

IoT Security

Identifying vulnerabilities in low-power devices and designing efficient algorithms that detect anomalies without draining device resources.

Intrusion Detection

Developing deep-learning-based IDS for IPv6 networks, achieving 95% accuracy in simulations to protect emerging technologies.

AI & ML Applications

Applying machine learning and deep learning techniques to solve complex security problems, from anomaly detection to predictive modelling for network threats.

Blockchain & Cryptocurrency

Researching decentralised systems, distributed ledger technology, and cryptographic protocols for secure and trustless digital transactions.

Green Computing

Exploring energy-efficient computing architectures and sustainable approaches to managing growing computational demands in modern infrastructure.

Teaching Philosophy

"I strive to make learning active, applied, and industry-ready."

Across 19+ years of teaching, I have combined lectures with hands-on application in subjects like Computer Networks, AI, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, DBMS, and Computer Architecture. I have guided 35 B.Tech and M.Tech projects and mentored 4 PhD awardees.

My goal is for students to build real-world skills. I have been recognised with the Best Teacher Award 5 times, and have consistently driven 100% placement outcomes during my tenure as Deputy HoD for Placements.
